Launched in 2021 Wyrd Science covers tabletop games, their culture and how they influence and are influenced by the world around us. What that means is that across our first six issues we've covered everything from the graphic design and art of MÖRK BORG to the politics of boardgames, the literary roots of Ravenloft to the hauntology of early Warhammer.

We've spoken to the people behind some of the biggest tabletop games around today and those who've just printed their first zine, interviewed artists using human skin as a canvas for their tabletop game inspired art and the owners of bars trying to bring a touch of fantasy into the real world.

We believe that games can be fun, stupid, enlightening, enraging, ephemeral and deeply profound and that the best can often be all of those within the space of a few minutes. Fundamentally we believe that space wizards and sentient jellies should be given the respect they deserve.

Our magazine and this website are reader supported, our weekly newsletter -The Gazetteer- will always be free and you'll find plenty of reviews and longer features available to read here without any subscription, but all this costs. So if you like what you see and would like to see more of it then do consider picking up a copy of the magazine, and/or becoming an Expert level member of the site. At its simplest the more of you that do, the more that we can do for you.

Right now this site is still being developed, so bear with us whilst we et our heads around a new platform and get everything as it should be.
